The beauty here still makes my jaw drop.
I am in awe.
I keep waiting for my paintings to start mirroring back the quietude of landscape-
Vast light brown orange- hitting the pink, pale blue sky.

I suppose the long held gaze of landscape could be read within the crevices of space-
the space that covers 46x43 birch ply panels.
Painting is the most challenging thing I do. The process of scraping, erasing, excavating- waiting for each piece to begin a dialogue with of exchange, so I can abandon my control. Looking for the control alone can bring the critical mind to the forefront so fast.
Each piece is sometimes cultivated with love- often frustration but I am always ready to listen back and evolve with the process.
Not only am I beginning to do more one on one mentoring and demonstration of materials and process in my studio- but small groups are beginning to come. I have an apartment attached to my studio. You get 24 hour painting access with all the amenities. It's a sweet deal. I give a couple of hours instruction then a critique at the end of three days. It's your own personalized art retreat here in the beauty of of the SouthWest. Bring a group and receive a free workshop.
